Sugi :: a poetic combination of wood and carbon fibre. Carefully selected slice of natural raw cedar trunk, treated with just enough flames to preserve the wood and char the surface – creating a lovely pattern that is unique to each piece of wood alone. Such Sugi will last for multiple decades, so the lower part of the design has to include another almost infinite-lasting material we love: carbon fibre.
